Jacquelyn Lamont is the supervisor of the Forensic Interview (FI) Team and the Director of Youth Safety and Outreach for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (SCDAO) and Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Suffolk County. Jacquelyn started her career in the SCDAO as a Victim Witness Advocate in the Boston Municipal Court and later joined the Child Protection Unit as a child interview specialist. She is currently a supervisor in this role and leads four interviewers at the nationally accredited CAC. In addition, she is the Director of Youth Safety and Outreach for the SCDAO and conducts workshops for students, caregivers, and professionals on the risks associated with technology and social media. She also presents trainings to law enforcement and professionals in child protection on responding to disclosures of abuse. In her role at the DA’s Office and CAC, Jacquelyn has interviewed over two thousand children and adult survivors of physical and sexual abuse, exploitation, domestic violence, homicide, and other crimes. She is passionate about improving the criminal justice system’s response to crimes against children as well as dedicated to increasing awareness about child abuse, sexual assault, and online exploitation. Jacquelyn has a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts with a focus on forensic criminology and victimology.
