Getting Ready for Poster Session
SCHEDULE
- There will be two live poster sessions on Thursday, March 11:
- Session One: 3:00- 3:50 pm
- Session Two: 4:00 – 4:50 pm
- Each poster presenter will be in their own Zoom meeting during their assigned session. Attendees will freely enter and exit each room to visit you and your poster during the 50 minute period.
- Information on accessing your Zoom meeting will be shared before the poster session date.
VIRTUAL POSTER SET-UP
- POSTER – DUE MARCH 3: Submit a PDF of your poster to our Google Drive. Please include your last name in the file name.
- REGISTER: Presenters are required to register. You will receive links to the virtual poster hall after registering. Register here.
- Video Option: We recommend submitting a short (2-3 min) video. Think of this as your ‘poster spiel’ that you’d give to a passerby who asked ‘what’s the poster all about?’ Please submit your video by March 3 to our Google Drive. You can submit an Mp4 file, private YouTube or Vimeo, or on Google Drive. Please include your last name in the file name.
- Text Summary Option: Please do not feel obligated to make the video component if you prefer not to for any reason. You may also choose to submit a text version. Please submit your text to our Google Drive by March 3.
ZOOM TIPS
- Presenters should use the Zoom Desktop Client on a desktop or laptop computer, not a mobile device.
- Make sure you have the latest version of Zoom.
- Share your screen with a copy of your poster.
- If you need to remove a participant from your room, hover over their name, click More, then Remove.
- Live transcription will be available. Attendees will receive a notification when they enter your room; attendees will click Live Transcript, and then select Show Subtitle to view the captions.
