Professional Development Workshop
We dedicated a significant amount of outreach to AGEP participants, wanting the conference to be centered on the voices and experiences of the doctoral students, postdoctoral scholars, and junior faculty the AGEP program is meant to advance.
We held a professional development workshop for this audience featuring a workshop on self-care for instructors that hold marginalized identities in the classroom, led by Dr. Veronica Womack of the National Science Foundation funded Inclusive STEM Teaching project. This event also featured conversations focused on networking strategies during COVID-19.
