Alexandru Caciuloiu

Dr. Alexandru Caciuloiu serves as the Deputy Head of the Training and Research Unit and Head of the Cybercrime Academy at the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL). In this capacity, he leads the development and delivery of specialized training programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of EU law enforcement personnel in combating cybercrime and related threats.

Prior to his tenure at CEPOL, Dr. Caciuloiu held the position of Cybercrime and Cryptocurrency Advisor and Regional Coordinator for Southeast Asia and the Pacific at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). His work focused on strengthening international cooperation and building capacity to address cybercrime and the misuse of cryptocurrencies in the region. With a master’s degree in business law in a Computer-Based Society, Alexandru brings a robust legal and technical background to his roles. His expertise encompasses cybercrime investigation, digital forensics, and the development of e-learning platforms for law enforcement training. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences, sharing insights on cybercrime trends and law enforcement strategies.
