Jennifer LaPrade
Associate Professor, Criminology, University of Texas at Arlington
Dr. Jennifer LaPrade is an associate professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at Arlington. She also serves as head coach of the University of Texas at Arlington Mock Trial team, and was the founder and former head coach of the Missouri State University Mock Trial team. Over the last six years, she has led her mock trial teams to nearly one hundred attorney, witness, and team awards in regional and national competitions. Dr. LaPrade’s research on courts, policing, and cybercrime has been published in national and international academic journals, and it has been presented across the country. Most recently, she led an in-depth, five-year, statewide research project on Missouri courts in conjunction with the Supreme Court of Missouri. She is an active member of the American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. Dr. LaPrade has a PhD in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Texas at Dallas, as well as a master’s degree in political science with a constitutional law emphasis and a bachelor’s degree in political science.
