Dr. Lou Chitkushev is a Professor of Computer Science and Senior Associate Dean at Boston University. He is the founding Director of the Health Informatics program at BU and a co-founder of the Boston University Center for Reliable Information Systems and Cyber Security (RISCS) within the BU Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science and Engineering. He was part of the team that established Boston University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance in Education and Research, as designated by the National Security Agency and the US Department of Homeland Security.
An internationally recognized scholar in cybersecurity and network applications across healthcare, biomedical, and financial information systems, his work is renowned for leveraging computational and AI-driven models to analyze health and economic data, with a strong focus on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity challenges within complex systems.
