Michael Jenkins

Dr. Michael Jenkins is chair of the Department of Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity & Sociology at the University of Scranton, as well as the founding executive director of the University’s Center for the Analysis and Prevention of Crime. He also developed and teaches the capstone course for the fully online Master of Science in Cybercrime Investigation and Cybersecurity. He was founding deputy director of the University of New Haven’s Center for Advanced Policing. In 2017, Dr. Jenkins completed a Fulbright Scholar award with the London Metropolitan police and the University College–London. From 2018 to 2020, Jenkins served as director of academics for the development and implementation of a bachelor’s in security sciences program for the Saudi Ministry of Interior. He publishes in the area of police organization and has presented on the role of education in transforming security and the evolving higher educational requirements for students in the disciplines of criminal justice and cybercrime.
